Psalm 96:11-13...
Our verses today are Psalm 96:11-13 which says,
"Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;Let the sea roar, and all it contains;Let the field exult, and all that is in it.Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joyBefore the LORD, for He is coming,For He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousnessAnd the peoples in His faithfulness."
I am always amazed at how much the Scripture brings up about the coming of Christ and this is either referring to His first coming or second coming.
Just the presence of Jesus in His first coming brought judgment for us to all answer the question, "But who do you say that I am?" His second coming will bring upon us all the final judgment and the kingdom to come.
His coming. Have you thought about it today? Have you thought about it this week? Sometimes I can go awhile just living life and fulfilling earthly obligations and forget about the return of Jesus Christ. It does change things when I recognize it and maybe that is why you can't go far in Scripture without coming upon it again and again and again. Maybe that is why we have weeks with 7 days and it rolls around to another Sunday to have us be in a house of worship that recognizes that Jesus is coming again.
"O what a wonderful day that will be...Jesus is coming again."
