Jude ends with 24 and 25 which says,....

Today's verses are Jude 24, 25, which read,

"Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever.  Amen."

Jude ends with a long sentence full of phrases that have deep meanings about our God and the ramifications of following Him.  It is a benediction that many have used at the end of a worship service.  Maybe this was a part of the original letter that he was going to send because it deals with "common salvation" mentioned in verse 3.

"Now to Him who is able to..." - One ability of our all-powerful God is...

"keep you from stumbling,..." - ...to sustain you from following false teachings...

"and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless..." - ...and continue to support and provide for you to be able to be before Him in heaven because of His sacrificial gift of His Son Jesus Christ who took our blame, our place,...

"...with great joy,..." - and we share in this joy of God the Father and God the Son,...

"...to the only God our Savior,..." - ...let us give honor to "the" God who saves...

"...through Jesus Christ our Lord,..." - ...by the full meaning of the verse of "For God so loved the world..."

"...be glory, majesty, dominion and authority,..." - ...so let us acknowledge and give all credit and all "awe" and all "your honor" and all submission...

"...before all time and now and forever." - ...to the One who was and is and is to come.

"Amen." - Verily, truly, so be it, firm.

"Lord, thank You for directing Jude to write this different letter to the church.  Thank You for continuing to speak to the issues of the day in my life and the life of the church.  May my thoughts of You today be beyond what I can express it words.  May I dwell on what you have done for me through the salvation of my soul.  Amen."
