post op

Hello all, this is Steph.  After 6 hours of delay, Adam went into surgery at 6:10 pm.  He was surrounded by many family members prior to surgery and the company effectively kept him from leaving the hospital.  I was thankful for the support of prayer inside and outside of our pre-op room.

Adam's doctor said that he had to do an incision and perform the surgery open rather than laproscopic.  He felt good about this decision after removing the tumor and observing that his narrow pelvis would have made the laproscopy difficult.

It is 1am and he is in his room.  He is having pain, which is to be expected after this kind of surgery.

Please pray that he can rest comfortably, that his pain can be controlled and that he would not develop infection in the perineal incision where the doctor has the most concern for risk of infection.

Thanks for your prayers.  God is for us and not against us!  May He be forever praised!
