Sunday morning radio broadcast and a break from the polar vortex...

We are recovering from some of the coldest weather this part of the nation has experienced in a long time.  Inching up into the 20's feels like a heat wave.

The radio broadcast this morning is a recording in my office.  We are continuing through the Explore God Series and the question this morning is, "Is Christianity Too Narrow?"

Another exciting thing happening this morning is that a pastoral colleague of mine here in the Illinois Valley, Tyler Sultze, is also starting up a 5 minute radio broadcast on the same local radio station.  Down To The River airs at 8:25 a.m. and Grace Bible Fellowship Church will have another at 9:05 a.m.  I will be tuning in and I am so thankful for more of the Word of God making it out over the local air waves.

Part of the ministry that God has given me here is to be a help to other ministers in the area, especially those younger and just starting out.  I was one of them and how I longed for times to be with others who were "in the field" as I was.  In college, the brotherhood is there on the dorm floor or in the pastoral ministry department but then you drive away from that place.  There is a brotherhood of ministers out here but sometimes you have to find them or even bring them together to be one.  I pray for this opportunity to continue wherever we go.
