2 Corinthians 6:11-13 says,...

Today's verses are 2 Corinthians 6:11-13, which read, v.11 - Our mouth has spoken freely to you, O Corinthians, our heart is opened wide. There were some of the Corinthians that opposed Paul and his companions.  There were some of the Corinthians that we undermining the teaching of the gospel and even speaking ill of Paul and his character.  Paul doesn't attack the person but continued to proclaim the truth that needed to be embraced that was being torn down.  His mouth spoke freely of the gospel of the new covenant to them and as he spoke freely it came from the heart.  His heart of love for them was actually enlarged to not drop this church as a lost cause but to send another letter and plan another visit to continue to make the gospel message clear. v.12 - You are not restrained by us, but you are restrained in your own affections. 2 Corithians 6:1-10 says,

Today's verses are 2 Corinthians 6:1-10, which read, \ And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain--for He says, "At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you."  Behold, now is "the acceptable time," behold, now it "the day of salvation"--giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited, but in everything commending ourselves as servants of God, in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, in beatings, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in hunger, in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love, in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left, by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; regarded as deceivers and yet true; as unknown yet well-known, as dying yet behold, w...

This is the sixth "therefore" of this chapter and it is a big one.  A temporary earthly tent has been given to us by God that for this time we call home but that same God is building for us in heaven a house that will last forever.  Just as there are two sides to a coin, so there are two sides of a Christian's life.  The "here and now" side of the coin is to be lived in a way that is pleasing to the Lord.  The "present with the Lord" side of the coin is to be lived in the presence of the Lord standing in judgment before Him to present the glory of Him while we lived on the other side of the coin.  Paul and his companions con...
