Prayer/Support

Dear cherished friend of our ministry,

You are receiving a letter that has been decades in the making.  In my freshman year of college, I was drawn to an altar during a Sunday evening service and committed my life to serve God full-time in ministry.  The result of God’s call has been 33 years of service as a senior pastor in various churches including 18 years of planting and establishing a church in Gaylord, MI.

The witness of the local church has been very important to me.  I long to see the church living out the two greatest commandments:  to love God and others, and the Great Commission given by Jesus:  to “go and make disciples.”  These two “greats” have been my focus over these 33 years.

I am so thankful for all the people that God has used to shape me in my strengths and weaknesses.  This life of ministry has served as a training ground for the new ministry that Stephanie and I are being called to in June of 2019.  We have been accepted on a team of ministers under Interim Pastor Ministries.  After going through the IPM training it seemed to be a good fit for me to use the gifts God has given me.  IPM serves churches that are between pastors.  My responsibilities could range from simply supplying the pulpit to taking the church through a systematic evaluation and restructuring.  I want to help churches keep the two “greats” while bringing prayer and God’s word into focus as they look to the future and select their next Shepherd.

Joining the IPM ministry could put Stephanie and me anywhere in the country from a minimum of 3 months to a year or more.  We are making ourselves available to fill a temporary gap at a very critical time in the life of the churches to which we will be called.  Here is the link to the IPM website for more information about this vital ministry to local churches: http://www.interimpastors.com

We covet your prayers as we make a move to be more mobile in ministry.  We have secured a “home base,” a 1968 singlewide mobile home in Zephyrhills, FL, for retreat between assignments and we are downsizing our material and financial burdens.

Will you pray for us as we prepare to go into this mission field?

Since our assignments are dependent on the availability of churches in need of an interim pastor, we may find ourselves without an income between assignments.  We will utilize our abilities and try to plan strategically during those times to “fill the financial gap.”.  However, we would also like to invite others who believe in these ministries to join us financially in serving the local churches of the US who are in desperate need of God’s direction.  In loving the local church and giving to her faithfully all these years, we ask for support only after tithes are giving to your own local church.

Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us?

We were accepted by a non-profit funding ministry called Interlink Ministries that handles the financial paperwork.  We can receive tax-deductible gifts through Interlink under missionary status.  Interlink Ministries’ website is: http://interlinkministries.org/

Our projected need after the move to Florida would be $2,500.00 a month when we are not on assignment.  We are praying that the time between assignments would be minimal and just long enough to allow us to be refreshed before heading out again.

Thank you for reading this letter and taking the time to hear our hearts for ministry.  We have benefited so much from each of you and are so thankful to share this ministry with you.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call or text me at 813-602-4158 or email me at: pastorwolfgang@gmail.com

Sincerely and seeking God’s direction,

Adam & Stephanie Wolfgang
