Bible reading week 28 and day 4


The house is getting cleaned from top to bottom for the entrance of the grandkids!  Safety plugs back in, air mattresses blown up, and pantry stuffed full with kid friendly foods.  We even got back out the old cookie jar, filled it, and put it on the kitchen counter.  Anticipation is the word of the day and the week as we long for Sunday and Monday to arrive.  --Adam--
A simple man serving a great God and the local pastor of Stillwater Community Chapel (stillwater-chapel.org). We are in our 38th year of full time ministry. God directed us to this local body of believers on the Western Range of the Rockies to grow with them in mission and mindedness of Christ.

  The aspens of Colorado continue to put on a display in every season.  Even with no leaves, they decorate the landscape.  May we do the same in the different seasons of our lives for the glory of God.   Stephanie has always been such a big part of the ministries wherever we have been.  We have always been a team when it comes to where we can serve in the local church.  Stephanie and the ladies of SCC put on the annual Ladies' Christmas Brunch and it saw 50 ladies from 5 area churches and the community come in to hear her share the true message of Christmas and the gospel.  I am so thankful for her in my life. Spring is showing its face...Matthew 28:1-10..."He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said."

  See the bike in the foreground?  Pumped up the tires and have been making trips to town and back a couple times now.  The mountain in the background is locally called Mount Baldy but officially Mount Craig.  The bridge is over the canal between Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake.  A lot of wedding pictures are taken here.  I am itching to get up into the mountains and see the roaring waterfalls and the beautiful springtime mountain flowers. Another Easter/Resurrection Service has come and gone.  Covering the same material each year can be a challenge at times and especially when you are in front of some of the same people.  Thankfully there are typically visitors on this special Sunday from the area and from afar.  Last year I handled the whole of Matthew 28 and focused on which story we were following.  Was it the pre-made  cover-up story fueled by a bribe from the religious leaders to the soldiers that the disciples overtook ...

Advent #1 2024 - When, What, and Why Christmas

  The snow has come to 8400 feet and I feel like I am back in Gaylord, MI when moving snow was just a part of life for at least 5 months or until the Great Lakes froze over.  I am thankful for the snowblower provided and the ability to work a shovel all these years.  I love the outdoors so I get the benefit also of being refreshed by being in it.
